Gaming CMS

OVERVIEW

ZAAK AG rents out interactive game panels that are ideal for trade fairs, museums, and other events. The games can be individually branded, used for competitions, or employed to showcase new products. To manage this content, customers have access to an admin panel — however, it often caused confusion. It appeared cluttered, overloaded with information, and its structure made it particularly difficult for users without a technical or gaming-related background to navigate.

About the project

My task was to redesign the admin panel to provide users with a more intuitive, clearer, and overall more efficient experience. To identify which areas were not functioning well and where the biggest pain points were, I first analyzed the structure and information architecture. The illogical layout, the overloaded interface, and the imprecise wording emerged as the core issues.

Within the project, I rebuilt the information architecture using open card sorting, conducted user interviews, and developed personas to better understand the needs and workflows of the target group. Based on these insights, an iterative design process was created, ultimately resulting in a clean and clear hi-fi prototype.

I worked with Figma and maintained close communication with the developers throughout the project to ensure that the new design was not only more user-friendly but also technically feasible and well implemented.
